Uh-oh Devin Nunes met with a secret source on the White House grounds
by Nathan'ette Burdine: March 28, 2017

Uh-oh, House Intelligence Committee Chair and Donald Trump (Trumpster, Street Corner Donald, The Donald) transition team member Devin Nunes (R-CA) met with a secret source on the White House grounds about Donald Trump’s tweets accusing then President Barack Obama of “wiretapping” his phone.

The meeting came two days after FBI Director James Comey told the House Intelligence Committee that the FBI is investigating possible connections between Russia’s meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election and Trump Campaign members.

Nunes told everybody that he thought Trump should know about the information because of the bad publicity he’s been getting in the media.

Nunes said to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, “I felt like I had a duty and obligation to tell him because as you know he’s been taking a lot of heat in the news media.”

After being asked about Nunes popping up at the White House to warn him about the incoming information, President Donald Trump told folks that he “very much appreciated the fact that they found what they found.”

Welp, that got Nunes in trouble. Democrats and Republicans began questioning if Nunes was in too deep with the Trumpster.

As a result of his shady behavior, Nunes was forced to apologize to the Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for not telling them about his secret meeting with his secret source on the White House grounds.

Despite apologizing, Nunes says he didn’t do anything wrong. He told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, “If I really wanted to, I could’ve snuck onto the grounds, late at night and probably nobody would have seen me. But I wasn’t trying to hide.”

Unfortunately for Nunes, the fact that he won’t tell who let him onto the White House grounds and into the secure location in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building to access the secure files about the Trumpster’s alleged “wiretapping” claims says that Nunes is as guilty as homemade sin of doing something wrong.

It also doesn’t help Nunes’ case that, according to Chris Matthews, a source told Matthews that Nunes snuck out like a thief in night, switching cars and what not, trying to get to the White House undetected.

All of this doesn’t look good for ol’ Nunes there. In fact, it’s looking so bad that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer ran away from Nunes’ side of the story like a dead beat dad runs away from a past due child support notice.

After being asked if Nunes’ story checked out about how he got onto the White House grounds and into the Eisenhower Executive Office Building to access secure files, ol’ Spicer there responded, “I’m not sure that that’s how that works.”

The Democrats are letting it be known that that is not "how that works." Congressman and House Intelligence Committee Member Jim Himes (D-CT) told CNN’s Kate Bolduan, “This is hardly an isolated case. Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, and now Jared Kushner…Look, that in and of itself is enough for an investigative committee to want to talk to everybody.”

And talking is something that ol’ Nunes there doesn’t want to do. After all of this bad news about him came out yesterday, he decided to cancel the House Intelligence Committee meeting with FBI Director James Comey about Donald Trump campaign members’ alleged involvement with the Russians meddling into the 2016 Presidential Election.
